Poster Monday: Born to Yog
The second Poster Monday spot of June belongs to Kazuhiro Aihara from Japan for his poster entitled “Born to Yog”. Kazuhiro was born in Saitama, Japan. He graduated from Meiji-Gakuin University, Department of Economics and self-taught himself graphic design; he worked for several Fashion, Interior, and Advertising agencies and established his own design studio SHUNTO-SHA in 2010.
“This poster was made for Born to Yog, the yoga method of Japan. A handstand is a basis in this method. It’s very conceptual at the same time. It may be the one by which he who does a handstand is talking with the ground (the earth). “I tried in order to invent the one which exceeds a concept as advertisement of the yoga method. The form that he does a handstand and a unique typography has a very strong influence on us. It’s important to produce an original typography. The typography used for this poster dissolved, reorganized and completed the “SHUEI-TAI” which is a Japanese traditional type face” says Kazuhiro.
