During World War Two, propaganda posters became something of an art form. There were many interesting persuasive images created to communicate the ideologies of this critical time. For example, one common use was to warn civilians about the dangers of careless talk, even in the company of ladies!
There are some sites with large collections of Nazi posters from 1930’s and 40’s like the German Propaganda Archive. Some of those pieces were made with photographs, others, with illustrations, but all of them, without doubt, required very effective communication skills.
What do you think of these creations? Do you think they fulfilled their purpose in that time?
