Imagined games for the Olympics

Taking advantage of all the media attention around the Rio 2016 Olympics, brand agency FITCH came up with a creative and humorous series of posters that imagine the unusual games that could be added to the Olympics in the future. The posters include ‘sports’ such as the ‘Rubik’s Cube Sprint’, ‘Pokémon Capturing’ and ‘Olympic Caped Crusading’. Our favorite one has to be the ironic and provocative ‘Dope quicker and faster than Russia’ poster.

Batman vs Superman, what do you think?

The anticipated film Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is coming soon, with a scheduled release for March 24, 2016. Last year, film director Zack Snyder twitted the images of the first two posters for the film and today we share them here with you. The style is very different from previous superhero films, that have featured modern, 3d-like images of the characters. DC comics as famous movie posters

On March 2015 DC Comics will feature variant covers that pay tribute to iconic films of the last century such as: The Mask, Gone with the Wind, 2001: A Space Oddissey, Mars Attacks!, Enter the Dragon and Beetlejuice. This is will no doubt be of interest for both collectors and lovers of film posters and comic books.

RIP Anthony Goldschmidt

Last week the poster community lost a dear member: Anthony Goldschmidt, the influential graphic designer, founder of Intralink Film Graphic Design, who created the iconic posters for scores of films, including  E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, Thelma & Louise, The Da Vinci Code and the Batman movies. He was 71 years old. Our sympathy goes out to his friends and family in this difficult time. May he rest in peace.
