Poster Monday: “The voice of Democracy in Danger”
The Poster Monday spot of the day goes to Behnam Raeesian from Iran for his poster entitled “The Voice of Democracy in Danger”. Behnam is a freelance designer presented previously, who specializes in addressing political and social issues that are important for our day to day life in the world.
The poster “The Voice of Democracy in Danger”, tells us about the danger of denouncing the corruption of governments, crimes committed by criminal groups, defending a social cause or even expressing an opinion contrary to the government or the religion; “open your mouth” in some countries means a death sentence. Journalists, social activists and artists are murdered everywhere only for exercising freedom of expression, which is a fundamental human right, proving that democracy is in danger. “In this poster I simulated the language and the coffin, to death and the lack of democracy,” says Behnam.
