First female Puerto Rican to design poster for the Latin Grammys

Puerto Rican artist Sofia Maldonado has been chosen to design the art for the 21st Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards. She is known for her colorful site-specific works that dismantle the boundaries between studio practice and outdoor painting. Her work weaves together abstract art and reggaeton, and her work also honors the role of women within trap and hip hop culture. What do you think about the poster?

Optical illusion posters urge you to wear a mask

Israel-born, London-based graphic designer Noma Bar created a series of striking posters for World Mask Week to encourage people to mask up order to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

Using his iconic ability to to create double-meaning graphics using optical illusions, Bar’s posters features face masks as a necessary asset to be able to go engage in different activities, from going to the salon to buying a coffee or going on a cruise vacation, along with the tagline “Back to normal is up to you, Wear a mask.” The illustrations were made viral after author and puzzle constructor Eric Berlin tweeted them.

The Most Effective Cure of IKEA

This fun campaign by IKEA UK playfully rebukes fad items like supplements, energy drinks, and anti-aging creams with the most effective cure of all: Sleep.

The prints were photographed by Amy Currell and designed by Andy Knight Ltd as part of IKEA’s Tomorrow Starts Tonight campaign which advocates the effects of quality sleep.

NASA & Snoopy Posters!

To celebrate 20 years of continuous human presence on the its international space stations, NASA  partnered with Peanuts Worldwide, LLC, to develop a unique product series of posters featuring everyone’s favorite Beagle, Snoopy!

The four SFA posters feature illustrations of Snoopy at the International Space Station (ISS), each with a different message for employees focusing on crew’s safety and teamwork. All four posters include the Space Flight Awareness logo and the commemorative insignia designed for 20 years on the International Space Station.

Jan Rajlich – 70 Posters Exhibition

On the occasion of the 70th birthday of Czech graphic designer Jan Rajlich Jr, the Brno Biennale Association has organized a series of poster and design exhibitions that started in the summer and will conclude at the end of the year.

The exhibition Jan Rajlich Jr. 70 posters, exhibition of posters and graphics of a Vyškov native was displayed at the Museum of National History in Vyškov, the Terry Posters Gallery, in Prague, and the Rosenfeld Palace, Žilina in Slovakia. The last exhibition will open in November  at the Václav Chad Gallery in Zlín, Czechia (more details will be released soon.

A poster campaign is underway in Venezuela with the aim to protest for the country to achieve restoration of freedom and democracy. The digital campaign entitled Posters for Democracy in Venezuela is a compilation of protest art and political posters submitted by many artists. These powerful images capture the volatile political situation that the country is currently facing. The social and economic turmoil in Venezuela has created a shift where democratic institutions are eroding while authoritarian politics seeks to rewrite the country’s constitution. These political posters reflect the situation Venezuelans are facing and the organizers aim to spread their messages internationally.
