Stand with Ukraine
During the very first days of the war the 4th Block Graphic Designers Association’s started an open-ended poster campaign called “Stand with Ukraine”. This poster initiative was launched by the Association’s founder Oleg Veklenko together with PosterTerritory.
It was amazing to see how quickly the collection grew, spreading like a wildfire across countries and continents, indifferent to authors’ social backgrounds, or political affiliations. As the Russian soldiers expanded their offenses these artworks stood in opposition, together with so many other voices all across the world that chose to defend Ukraine. Defend it with their protests, with their donations, and with their homes that they offer to Ukrainian refugees.
These images are not just opposition graphics or visual chronicles of the terrible atrocities faced by the Ukrainian people on a daily basis, they are also a symbol of unity. Unity of all the different peoples who believe in a world without dictators, besieged cities, and armies who aim their cannons at innocent women and children.
